Dr. Harcourt is a third-generation chiropractic physician who provides diversified spinal and extremity adjustments. Diversified hands-on adjustment is the most commonly used adjustment technique by chiropractic physicians who are experts at applying manipulation to the spine. Diversified is characterized by a high-velocity, low-amplitude thrust and is differentiated from other techniques in that its objective is to restore both proper movement and alignment of the spine. Diversified technique remains the principal system taught at the National University of Health Sciences, New York Chiropractic College, Southern California University of Health Sciences, Northwestern College of Chiropractic and Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College.
The Graston Technique, utilized by Dr. Harcourt of Coast Chiropractic Centers, is a therapeutic method for treating disorders of the skeletal muscles and related connective tissue and is used to alleviate tendonitis, synovitis, tenosynovitis conditions such as lateral and medial epicondylitis, rotator cuff syndrome, and piriformis syndrome associated with sciatica.
The Graston method employs a collection of six stainless steel tools of particular shape and size, which are used by Dr. Harcourt to detect and resolve adhesions in the muscles, tendons, fascia, and ligaments.
Flexion-distraction Leander Technology is a gentle, low-force adjusting procedure that combines the benefits of hands-on adjusting with spinal decompression at the same time.
