Dr. Harcourt, "can you use the diowave high dosage laser treatment on my tennis elbow?"
Lateral epicondylitis otherwise known as "tennis elbow" is a common condition to affect a large percentage of people over their lifetime. Many people do not play tnnis so how could it bother them? The answer is any activity that involves extending the wrist can cause lateral epicondylitis. Common activities include: using a hammer, trimming bushes, bowling, carrying heavy landry and so forth. So regardless of how your elbow got irrritated how can it be fixed?
Treatments I use in the office at Coast Chiropractic Centers include Graston Technique and diowave laser to stimulate healing to the wrist extensor mechanism insertion in the elbow. By the way, if the radius, a bone in the elbow, is malpositioned or moving improperly it places undo strain on the same mechanism so adjusting the elbow correctly is also very helpful to redue reoccurence.
If you have a sore elbow and desire a non-surgical approach to your tennis elbow call me, Dr. B. Timothy Harcourt, at 239.278.3344 option # 1 and schedule an appointment or a no-charge consultation.
